I love to create. Often I just create a big mess. Occasionally I create something useful. On rare occasions I get really really excited. I love old buildings, especially old ruins and when I remember to take my camera out with me, I share photos.

Paper landscape. I stitched this today, from torn scraps of paper with some yarn. Then I painted it with watery acrylics. Next I plan to highlight some of the raised areas. And no doubt ruin it completely.....
It looks good! But why would you ruin it? If you are unsure of what to add, couldn't you try to place a tracing paping over it, and draw your projected highlights on it to see how it looks before starting the real job?
Treasure Gold waxes, I love them. But if you hiccup or blink wrongly then you get a blob. I often get blobs. Normally if I make a mistake I can just paint over but the wax resists so a blob will always be a blob. I have rubbed over the coloured piece with gold and saphire waxes and so far so good.
I love this colorwash - as you say, needs some lowlights and highlights, now. Go, Wendy, go!
